Privacy Policy

4TPGO Inc. ("4TPGO", "we") is a rideshare platform built on a simple idea: people over profit. That idea extends to your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
What we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and phone number when you create an account.
- Location: your device location while you use the app, to find rides near you, navigate trips, and show what's happening nearby in the Tonight feed. Background location is used only during an active trip.
- Trip information: pickup and dropoff points, route, fare, and your chosen charity for each ride.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe, our payment processor. 4TPGO never stores your full card number.
- Driver onboarding information: for driver applicants only: identity verification (via Persona), background check (via Checkr), vehicle and insurance documents, and payout details (via Stripe Connect).
- Device and usage data: basic technical information (device model, app version, crash logs) to keep the app working well.
How we use it
- To match riders with drivers and complete trips safely.
- To process payments, driver payouts, and the 2% charitable donation attached to every ride.
- To show nearby restaurants, events, and attractions in the Tonight feed based on your location.
- To verify driver identity and eligibility, as the law requires of rideshare platforms.
- To provide support, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal data. To anyone. Ever.
- We do not share your identity with advertisers. Businesses that promote in the Tonight feed see aggregate counts only (for example, how many riders were dropped off at their venue), never names, never individual trips.
- We do not track you when the app is closed, except during an active trip you started.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers needed to run the platform: Supabase (secure data hosting), Stripe (payments), Persona (driver identity verification), Checkr (driver background checks), and mapping/event data providers (Apple Maps, Ticketmaster, Yelp) which receive only the queries needed to show results, not your identity. Each processes data under its own safeguards and our instructions. We may also disclose information when the law genuinely requires it.
Your choices
- You can access, correct, or delete your account data by contacting us at anthony@4tpgo.com.
- You can turn off location access in iPhone Settings at any time (rides need it to work, but that's your call).
- California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. Email us and we'll honor them.
Data retention & security
We keep account and trip records only as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal requirements (rideshare and tax law require certain trip records to be retained). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with access controlled and logged.
Children
4TPGO is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll post the update here and note it in the app.
